Water leak protection
The WaterSafe control unit is intended to help prevent major leaks in the home due to washing machine and hot water cylinder failures. The control unit senses the presence of water and automatically shuts down the incoming supply, at the same time as going into an alarm state. An audible tone is emitted and a flashing LED activates to alert the occupants to the potential problem.
The unit performs self diagnostic routines on the water sensor, cable and internal circuitry. This indicates correct installation, prevents nuisance triggering and provides long term reliability.
In a typical application a self adhesive water sensor is fixed into a watertight tray below the appliance to be monitored.
